Code Group Music is a specialist music label services company dedicated entirely to independent artists and rights holders. We provide publishing administration, digital distribution, and metadata administration — the infrastructure layer that determines whether your catalog is generating every pound it is entitled to.
We are not a major label. We are not a distributor with a dashboard and no phone number. We are a small, expert team that takes a limited number of clients and gives each one our full attention.

How We Work
Principles we don't compromise on.
Specialist, not generalist
We work only in music rights and administration. We do not offer artist management, recording, production, or marketing. Our focus on the administrative and rights layer of the music industry means we go deeper where it matters most.
Commission-based, not retainer-first
Publishing administration and digital distribution are commission-based at 15% of collected royalties — CGM earns when the client earns. Metadata Administration is subscription-based. Both models are designed to align incentives: clean metadata increases royalty yield, which increases earnings for both CGM and the client. In every case, we are motivated to pursue every available royalty stream because uncollected income is income we leave on the table too.
Small client list by design
We take a limited number of clients and give each one our full attention. A large client roster means each catalog gets proportionally less focus. We have chosen to grow slowly and maintain quality over volume.
Transparent reporting as standard
Every client receives itemised quarterly royalty statements with a breakdown by society, territory, and income type. We do not aggregate without explanation. You should always be able to verify your numbers.

He founded Code Group Music to give independent artists access to the same standard of rights administration that major label catalogues receive.

We are based in Mayfair, London — home to PRS for Music, the BPI, and the major music publishing and label operations that set the commercial standards for the UK industry. Our location gives us direct access to the institutions and relationships that matter for your rights administration.
We work with artists and rights holders across the UK and internationally. Administration does not require physical proximity — but expertise in UK collection societies, licensing structures, and music business norms does.
